“I have a very old farmhouse and the plumbing is less than pleasant to access and deal with. I have been able to rely on Mohr for fast, friendly service at a very reasonable price from something as simple as replacing a bad shutoff valve to installing a brand new well pump and undoing some of the issues the previous owners left behind. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of well services!”

“What a great experience we had with this company! We had been without water for several days when we called. They came the first thing the next morning, promising they would do everything possible to get us water. It was extremely difficult as the pipe going to the well was frozen! Our huge neighborhood groundhog apparently had a large hole near the house and under the pipe!! In sub freezing temperatures, they worked feverishly to get us water, which they did. If I could give 10 stars, if I could. Thank you!!”

“Great company! We called first thing on Monday morning since we lost water over the weekend, the secretary was very nice and stated the guys would be in contact shortly as a “no water” call is a priority call. Not long after we were contacted, the guys arrived, figured out the problem, prepped the area and arrived the next morning with all the large equipment to get us up and running. They were all kind, honest, knowledgeable and professional. A great family owned and operated company. We will be using them for all our future water needs!”

“Awesome, friendly, great at what they do. Jake came out to help fix my pressure problem and had it fixed in a hour and a half. Super reasonable I would one hundred percent recommend as your first choice in well services hands down.”

Questions people ask about wells in Lordstown
How much does a well cost in Lordstown?
Wells near Lordstown average about 110 ft deep (Trumbull County, ODNR records since 2015). At that depth, drilling and casing typically runs $2,750–$7,150; a complete system with pump, pressure tank and hookup $6,600–$11,000. Mohr Well Drilling, Inc quotes per job after a site visit — depth, access and casing drive the number.
How deep are wells in Lordstown?
ODNR well records for Trumbull County since 2015 run about 110 ft with an average yield around 15 gallons per minute. Your parcel can differ — nearby logs are the best predictor, and Mohr Well Drilling, Inc pulls them before drilling.
Do I need a permit to drill a well in Lordstown?
A licensed driller files the well report with the state (ODNR) when the well is completed, and permit rules vary by county and watershed. Mohr Well Drilling, Inc checks what applies to your parcel and handles the filings.
How long does it take to drill a well?
Most residential wells are drilled in one to three days; pump and pressure-tank installation adds a day. Scheduling depends on season and ODNR filing lead time — call (724) 588-8322 for current lead times.
Who files the paperwork for a new well?
The driller does. Every well Mohr Well Drilling, Inc completes is reported to the state (ODNR); that record is where the county depth and yield figures on this page come from.
Has Mohr Well Drilling, Inc drilled near Lordstown before?
141 wells in Trumbull County since 2010, per the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Geological Survey water-well log database.
How much does it cost to drill a well in Ohio?
It depends almost entirely on depth. Statewide figures are useless; what matters is your county. Near Lordstown, Trumbull County wells average 110 ft, which puts drilling and casing around $2,750–$7,150 and a complete system $6,600–$11,000. Deeper parcels cost more; Mohr Well Drilling, Inc pulls neighboring well logs before quoting.
How much is a 200 ft well?
At today's per-foot ranges, a 200 ft well runs roughly $5,000–$13,000 for drilling and casing, or $12,000–$20,000 with pump, pressure tank and hookup. Trumbull County wells average 110 ft, so 200 ft is deeper than typical here.
How deep does a well have to be to produce water?
There's no fixed number — it's whatever depth reaches a water-bearing layer with enough yield. Around Lordstown, ODNR records show water at about 110 ft with yields near 15 gpm. A household needs roughly 5 gpm; Mohr Well Drilling, Inc tests yield before setting the pump.
What if my well runs dry or loses pressure?
Often it's the pump, not the well. Mohr Well Drilling, Inc tests yield and static water level first; options run from a pump reset to deepening or hydrofracturing, and a replacement well only when the numbers say so.
Talk to a driller, not a call center.
